From datasheet
to part record.
Upload a manufacturer datasheet PDF. The extraction pipeline reads pinout, electrical specs, and package dimensions; generates an IPC-7351B footprint and KiCad symbol; and returns the draft for human verification before publication.
Four steps. One verified part.
Upload
Drag in a datasheet PDF, or paste a manufacturer URL. Both fan out the same pipeline.
Extract
A specialized model reads the package drawings, pinout tables, and electrical
sections; outputs a draft Component,
Symbol, and Footprint.
Verify
Side-by-side: datasheet drawing on the left, extracted footprint on the right. Correct pad coordinates, name pins, run the IPC-7351B check. Default to "needs work"; promote to "verified" only on explicit confirmation.
Publish
Save into the library. Addressable by MPN, downloadable as
.kicad_sym, .kicad_mod,
.step, and JSON.
We will not pretend a vision LLM
just does this.
Published benchmarks (IC8K, Aug 2025) on IC footprint geometry extraction:
A specialized extractor reaches a useful 72% IoU. A general vision LLM reaches 1–11%. Either way, the verify step is mandatory. Source: arXiv:2508.03725.
Two paths in.
Direct ingest (JSON or KiCad)
POST a JSON Component, Symbol,
or Footprint directly, or POST a
.kicad_sym file to be parsed and indexed.
Drop a datasheet PDF
Queues the PDF for the extraction pipeline. v0 is human-in-the-loop — a reviewer runs the extractor and publishes the verified record back to the library. Browser-native draft-and-verify UI is the next lift.
Extract runs the v0 vision-LLM metadata extractor on a queued job.
Returns a draft component flagged draft:ai-extracted.
Verify before relying — see about.
